The Rashid Al Zayani Charity Foundation, in cooperation with the Bahrain Society for Parents of the Disabled and their Friends, has donated a specialised wheelchair for one of the cases the society cares for.
The director of the Rashid Al Zayani Mabara, Omar Abdulaziz, stressed the need for charitable bodies to attend to the affairs of people with disabilities and to meet their needs, helping them take part in society and removing the obstacles in their way, so as to provide a decent life for them and for their families.
He praised the efforts of the Bahrain Society for Parents of the Disabled and their Friends in caring for people with special needs, and the distinctive programmes the society offers, in particular its programme for recycling plastics and using the proceeds to provide wheelchairs.
For his part, the chairman of the society's board, Jassim Siyadi, extended his sincere thanks to the Rashid Al Zayani Mabara and everyone who runs it for their support of the society's project to provide chairs built to particular specifications for people with disabilities, which the society finds difficult to provide because of their high cost. The Rashid Al Zayani Mabara kindly covered the cost of one of these chairs, helping to ease the burdens and difficulties our children with disabilities face in getting around, keeping them safe and sparing them the harmful effects of using chairs unsuited to their disability.
Siyadi praised the distinguished role the Mabara plays in this field, having demonstrated on many occasions its care and its commitment to supporting the society's activities and programmes in order to meet the needs of people with disabilities and reduce the obstacles they face, so that they can participate and be included in society.
